Horrible: OWS Mob in London Defecating INSIDE St. Paul's Cathedral

As if I needed another reason NOT to support the ridiculous and frankly communistic "Occupy Wall Street" global mob action, here comes another one from London, the capital of a once magnificent Britain.

The St Paul’s Cathedral protest camp has become littered with human waste and graffiti, while alcohol and drug use are rife, according to legal documents filed by the City of London.
The Corporation, which is taking legal action to evict the protesters, highlighted the filthy conditions ahead of the court battle which is due to start this week.
Parts of the dossier come from registrar of St Paul’s, Nicholas Cottam, who wrote to a corporation official outlining the disruptions faced by the cathedral.
Mr Cottam wrote: ‘Desecration: – graffiti have been scratched and painted on to the great west doors of the cathedral, the chapter house door and most notably a sacrilegious message painted on the restored pillars of the west portico.
‘Human defecation has occurred in the west portico entrance and inside the cathedral on several occasions.’
He also made reference to noisy interruptions during services, foul language directed at staff and the use of alcohol and ‘other stimulants’ that appeared to ‘fuel the noise levels day and night’.
Mr Cottam revealed more than half of schools scheduled to visit the cathedral had cancelled since the occupation began on October 15. He wrote: ‘The reason for the cancellations is directly as a result of their own risk assessments which that the view that entry and exit to the cathedral is in their opinion too difficult due to the camp’s presence.’
Drop-in visitor numbers were also down by half, leaving the cathedral’s cafe, shop and restaurant ‘faltering’.  Unchained dogs roam freely on the site, fouling the area, as litter including cigarettes and beer cans pile up, the report says.
A further witness statement from temporary police inspector John Zuber expressed ‘mounting concern of drugs within the camp’ including the arrest of a man in possession of ‘what is currently believed to be a liquid class A drug’.
He added: ‘A camp member handed police drug paraphernalia, which included needles and residue of drugs which they found around the tents. The camp has made a request for an official sharps container for needles to be put into.’
Joy Hollister, the director of community and children’s services for the Corporation, provided a witness statement raising concerns about the growing numbers of ‘vulnerable’ people at the camp.
She said: ‘By which I mean people who were exhibiting behaviour that was indicative of poor mental health, people who were exhibiting signs of drug use including stumbling and compulsive behaviour, people who had body odor arising from significant periods without washing or change of clothing and a number of people who were clearly under the influence of drugs and alcohol.’
She added she had observed a ‘very strong smell of cannabis in several parts of the camp’ and the presence of several children in the camp – two of whom appear to be living there.

For the record, "Class A drugs" appear to be the equivalent designation to Schedule I in the US.

How much longer are we going to have to put up with this?  This global mob has no respect for our faith or for our houses of worship.  The anti-Christian sentiment is palpable with these people, what with OWSers in Rome desecrating a Catholic chapel to these London goons defecating and desecrating St. Paul's, one of the oldest churches in Britain.  I can't say I'm surprised this is happening, given that the whole movement is influenced by atheistic Marxist ideology which disdains religion as part of the problem, and seeks it's destruction.

Christians should not lend their support to this movment.  It is UNWORTHY of our support.  What we should be doing is praying that they will convert to Catholic Christianity and abandon this horrid movment.

Jake Plummer thinks Tim Tebow is too religious

http://www.yardbarker.com/nfl/articles/msn/jake_plummer_wishes_tim_tebow_would_shut_up_go_hug_his_teammates_instead_of_publicizing_religion/8244544

So Mr. Plummer seems to think Tim Tebow (who, by the way, did much better than Plummer in his starts), should just "shut up" and not be open about his faith?

May I ask, since when were you in any position to comment?  Mr. Tebow has every right to be open about his faith in the public square.  Christianity BELONGS in the public square, no matter what every single atheist "activist" group will tell you.

Apparently, the only thing that matters in the NFL to some is selfishness, ego, and hedonism, just like in modern society.  Can't have any of that pesky faith  in public now, can we?  Gotta keep it all in the churches where we don't have to look at those stupid Christians.

Give me a break!

LSN: Massachusetts passes bill making transgenderism/crossdressing a protected class

And I'm considering moving to this bluest of blue state?

BOSTON, November 17, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The Massachusetts legislature has passed a bill that elevates cross-dressing or transgendered individuals to a protected class, and grants universal access to sex-segregated areas such as bathrooms based on personal “gender identity or expression.”
The measure, known as the “Transgender Equal Rights Bill” (H. 502 in the House and S. 764 in the Senate) passed the upper chamber on Wednesday in a voice vote. It’s unclear when the bill will receive final approval votes and be signed into law by Democrat Gov. Deval Patrick, a strong gay rights supporter.
The bill inserts “gender identity” as a protected class under the state’s hate crime law, and also makes it so that a school or other business would be violating the law if it rejected an applicant because he or she was a crossdresser.
So, the good folks running the Commonwealth of Massachusetts are recognizing sexual "identity" (sexual identity DISORDER)?  That's bad in and of itself, but there's many more bad things that are going to come about because of this.

Do folks seriously even contemplate the potentially devestating effects that this bill presents?  Now all a pervert has to do is dress in woman's clothing to be able to sneak into a women's restroom and commit a sex offense, and security cannot stop him because all he would have to do is claim that he has the right as a "transgender person" to do so.  Laws like this put young girls in danger!

But the liberals who run the blue states have learned long ago not to let stuff like that get in the way of advancing the LGBT agenda.  Their lawyers wouldn't allow them to.

How much longer is this insanity going to go on?

VA Beach Schools offer money to kids to pass; I rant

An article in today's Virginian Pilot caught my eye with it's headline.

Program in Va. Beach schools awards cash for grades

VIRGINIA BEACH
Students at two Beach high schools can take home hundreds of dollars this school year for earning passing marks on Advanced Placement tests. Their teachers will be rewarded, too.
The cash incentives at Salem and Green Run high schools are part of the Initiative for Military Families, a Navy-backed public-private partnership aimed at boosting student achievement in military-rich communities.

Has our education system really gotten so bad that schools are now offering what amounts to bribes for students to pass?  If that's the case, it means our schools are due for some long overdue reform.

St. Thomas More, patron of students, pray for us!

Are you kidding me? Please tell me you're kidding me?

http://www.lifesitenews.com/news/inmate-sues-michigan-claims-no-access-to-porn-is-inhumane-and-unconstitutio

DETROIT, July 8, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) - A man serving time in Macomb County jail for bank robbery is suing Governor Rick Snyder and the State of Michigan on the grounds that depriving him of porn while locked up is “inhumane and unconstitutional.”
In his lawsuit, filed in federal court, Kyle Richards, 21, said the state’s ban on most forms of pornography in state prisons reduces his standard of living and subjects him to “sexual and sensory deprivation.”
Richards was charged with bank robbery in January after police followed a trail of cash and snowy footprints from the scene of the alleged crime to his apartment in Fraser, Mich.
Richards pleaded guilty last week in Macomb County Circuit Court and is scheduled to be sentenced on August 2.

You're whining because you can't get porn in prison?  When last I looked, prison wasn't a place where you were supposed to get enjoyable things because, well, you're being punished.

How dare this man try to twist the Constitution into knots in order to feed his porn addiction while serving prison time.

LSN: New York clerk fights for right not to participate in same-sex "marriage"

VOLNEY, New York, June 29, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) - While religious organizations in New York are allowed not to participate in gay “marriage,” the same right of conscience has been denied to individual citizens – an injustice that one rural town clerk is fighting against.

Town clerk Barbara MacEwen is responsible for issuing marriage licenses in Volney, near Syracuse. She told Politico Tuesday that she has written to her senator asking for help determining her legal options.

“If there’s any possible way to not do it legally, then yes, I would not want to put my name on any of those certificates or papers,” MacEwen told the political news service. “That’s their life, they can do it, but I don’t feel I should be forced into something that’s against my morals and my God.”

She should not have to do it.

"Gay" is not a race, a religion, an ethnic group, or anything else that can be legitimately defended by anti-discrimination laws.  It is simply a perversion  and a disorder.  You cannot define yourself simply by how you choose to stimulate your genitals and expect to be treated as a persecuted minority.

Forcing someone to participate in something that goes against their moral beliefs is an injustice.

Sodomite "Marriage" Passes in New York

So, the state of New York decided to legalize same-sex "marriage" in defiance of God's laws and the will of the people.  Well, that's just what I needed on my birthday.

I have grown so weary of this wicked and perverse generation.  We've been doing nothing but sticking our fingers in the eyes of God since at least the 60s.  First the sexual revolution normalized promiscuity, contraception and abortion, now the fruits of that movement are alive in the movement to force society to recognize homosexual lust as "normal" when God's Word calls it what it is; a perversion.

To the State of New York; shame on you all!  You've not only defied the will of the people when poll after poll shows Americans OPPOSE same-sex "marriage", but you've defied God.  The State has no right to pass laws that contradict Natural and Divine Law.  What you have done is an affront to Almighty God and now all we can do is pray that God will mercy on you.

Treason: "One third of German-speaking theologians call for recognition of same-sex partnerships"

This comes to us courtesy of Life Site News.

ROME, February 11, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) – One hundred and forty-four German-speaking Catholic theologians around Europe have called for changes in the Catholic Church, including female and non-celibate priests, acceptance of homosexuality and contraception. While the “progressive” wing of anti-Catholic dissidents have been calling for these changes for at least four decades, this time they say that it is all part of an effort to protect children from clerical sex abuse.

The group, representing about a third of all German theology professors at universities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, issued their call for “reforms” last Friday, according to a report in the German daily “Süddeutsche Zeitung.”

The graying remnants of the 60s rebellion which attacked the Church in the aftermath of Vatican II are ratcheting up the attacks because of recent revelations of sex abuse by clerics.  But I'm confused; how is giving in to heresy by promoting contraception use, homosexuality, divorce and remarriage, and women (excuse me "wymyn") "priests" going to help anything?  The short answer is; it isn't.

And the graying liberals can't help but attack the thousands upon thousands of young people who are demanding a return to traditional practices, especially the Tridentine Mass and traditional music and devotions.  These people are allergic to anything that's traditional.  It's all about "change" and "progress" with this bunch.  They can't bear that idea that young people disagree with them and are heading the Holy Father's call to return to our Catholic identity.

I have a news flash for them; you're irrevelant.  Nobody cares what you think anymore.  Your idiotic rebellion against your own religion is sputtering out and will soon die, along with the sexual revolution which brought us the abortion culture.  What will be left is an authentic Catholicism that is holy and reverent, and what a happy day that will be.

I will continue to say prayers for the conversion of these rebels.  It is the only medicine that can help them.

Dhimmitude: Director of Intelligence says Muslim Brotherhood is "Mostly Secular"

This one comes courtesy of Robert Spencer over at Jihad Watch:

The Obama administration took the rare step Thursday of correcting its own intelligence chief after the official claimed Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood is "largely secular."
Director of National Intelligence James Clapper discussed the Islamist group during a hearing on Capitol Hill earlier Thursday. He testified that the organization has "pursued social ends" and a "betterment of the political order," and downplayed its religious underpinnings.

You have got to be kidding me.

They're called the Muslim Brotherhood.  How can that name be attached to any sort of secular organization?

The Islamist credentials of the MB are well established.  The group's stated goal is to make the Qu'ran and Sharia law the law of all states, calling it a "perfect way".  The group's first leader, Hassan al-Banna, was a dyed-in-the-wool Islamist who advocated the restoration of the Caliphate and world-wide jihad to impose Islamic rule on the world.  The Brotherhood maintains this, routinely calling for an Islamic state to be formed in Egypt.

The MB is a Islamist group and an enemy of freedom.  If we want real freedom in the Middle-East, we must oppose groups like this and call them out for what they are.

New Book "Until Proven Innocent" and my thoughts on some old comments

I recently received a copy of Stuart Taylor and KC Johnson's book Until Proven Innocent:  Political Correctness and the Shameful Injustices of the Duke Lacrosse Rape Case, and so far I'm liking it.  The book promises to lay out, in detail, the entire sordid history of this despicable miscarriage of justice.  Anyone who is wrongfully accused or convicted of anything is a victim, and their race or socioeconomic status does not negate that.  They deserve our prayers and compassion.

Reading some old comments on the case on CAF, though, it seems that some of my fellow Catholics don't consider them victims, but on the receiving end of God's wrath.  Them going through a year of hell was "temporal punishment for sin".  Hmmm.  From what I can tell, not all of them were at the party when the stripper was there.  And since when did God allow false accusation to be the catalyst for His punishment?  Why would God allow the breaking of His Commandment "Thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor" for it?  Such an idea sounds frankly heretical and blasphemous to me.

Their sins aside, they were innocent, and God would not allow another sin to punish a sin.  It makes no sense whatsoever.

My thoughts on the recent Smithsonian "art" exhibit

Just recently, the National Portrait Gallery at the venerable Smithsonian Institution put on an art display entitled "Hide/Seek:  Difference and Desire in American Portraiture".  Sounds innocent enough, until you realize the whole thing is basically a display of homoeroticism mixed with anti-Christianity in the form of a video that shows an ant-covered crucifix.  The Smithsonian eventually pulled that, although the rest of it remains up.

I can't say that I'm surprised.  Modern art nowadays is geared toward maximum shock and offense.  If your work doesn't ruffle any feathers, you can't consider yourself an artist.  You can only earn that coveted title if you create something blatantly vile and offensive, trampling on the cherished beliefs and values of the community in the process.  Take Chris Ofili, for instance; his most famous work is a portrait of the Virgin Mary plastered with pornographic images and sprinkled with a liberal amount of elephant dung (I didn't even know that was an art medium; move over paint and sculpture, here comes elephant crap!).  Instantly he was hailed as the next best thing; not because his work was any good, but because of the fact that people expressed offense at his vile work.  That's what passes as art nowadays; the kind of vile garbage normally associated with the thought processes of a snot-nosed teenager scrawling vulgar graffiti on the stalls of a public restroom.  As a matter of fact, it wouldn't shock me one bit if a photograph of THAT would be hailed as the next big thing in art, along with nice fat government grants to go with the acclaim from "artists".

The Smithsonian exhibit isn't the worst example, but it is indicative of the state of modern art.  It's an anything goes, vile free-for-all where anything can be considered a great work of art, so long as it is vile and disgusting and offends the values of the community.  The fact that our tax dollars pay for the display of this sewage is simply icing on the garbage cake.  Long ago, such trash wouldn't NEVER had been displayed in public.  Art a long time ago was about capturing the grace and beauty of creation, and for some, it still is.  But now, it's all bile, all the time, and it's not getting better anytime soon.

OK, if I might be permitted to rant a bit...

Am I the only one who notices a wave of vitriol and venom being directed at Catholic Republicans by their fellow Catholics?

It seems that a Catholic who votes Republican is viewed as a traitor to his faith.  It's said he (or she) supports "corporatism" at the expense of the poor and working people, and doesn't believe in taking care of the poor and destitute.

Is it really that bad to believe that the poor are better served by people working to help each other under the principle of subsidiarity in place of reliance on the government, which is incapable of authentic charity?  That policies designed to reduce taxes and spending to benefit the small businesses which really drive our economy are a good thing?  To question whether Big Labor really is good?

Really, is that really an anti-Catholic principle to hold?  Ask some folks and they may say yes.  I say no.

Costa Rica Denies the People their Rights

Via LSN comes this lates outrage:

SAN JOSÉ, August 11, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Costa Rica's Constitutional Court, the nation's highest tribunal, has ruled that citizens cannot vote on the issue of homosexual "civil unions" because "people who have relations with the same sex are a disadvantaged group that is the object of discrimination."
Rejecting the arguments of pro-family groups and the nation's Supreme Electoral Tribunal, the court voted 5-2 to prohibit such a vote, claiming that it would "deepen and aggravate discrimination" against homosexuals.
The Court's decision cancels a referendum on the matter previously scheduled for December, for which over 150,000 signatures were gathered in recent months.  The referendum was called in response to proposed legislation to create "civil unions" for homosexual couples, which would give them the same rights normally reserved for married couples.
The bill, which is known as Legal Project 16390 and not yet been subject to a final vote, has been condemned by the Costa Rican Catholic bishops' conference, whose flock includes the vast majority of Costa Ricans.
Denouncing the legislation in September of last year, the Costa Rican bishops wrote that "we are facing a bill that intends in practice to equalize" homosexual unions, which, "is manifestly against articles 51 and 52 of the Constitution, in which matrimony is the essential base of the family, and has the right to the special protection of the government.  The equalization of unions of people of the same sex with matrimony is therefore unconstitutional."

This is outrageous.  Since when did the people not have the right to vote on decisions that affect their daily lives?  Well, the homosexual lobby has gotten their wish; another bunch of judges rules that their disordered condition makes them a protected class.

Please pray for Costa Rica.

UK Group to Advertise the Impossible

From Britain's version of the NYT, The Guardian.

London buses to carry female ordination advert during pope's visit

Catholic group's initiative will see the slogan 'Pope Benedict Ordain Women Now' appear on 10 buses throughout September
    London bus 460
The group has paid around £10,000 for posters to appear on 10 buses for a month from August 30
In a move designed to coincide with the pope's visit to Britain in September, London buses are to carry posters calling for the ordination of women.
The initiative, from the UK group Catholic Women's Ordination (CWO), will see buses carrying the slogan "Pope Benedict Ordain Women Now".
According to the weekly Catholic magazine the Tablet, CWO has paid about £10,000 for the posters to appear on 10 buses for a month from August 30.
The pope will be in the UK from September 16, spending two days in the capital, and the posters will appear on routes that go past Westminster Cathedral and Westminster Hall. Both venues feature on the papal itinerary.
Last Thursday the Vatican issued sweeping changes to its laws on sexual abuse, extending the period in which charges can be filed against priests in church courts and broadening the use of fast-track procedures to defrock them. But while the document dealt mostly with paedophilia, it also stated that the "attempted ordination of a woman" to the priesthood was one of the most serious crimes in church law.
The mention of both issues in the same breath caused anger within some groups, especially those in favour of women priests, and prompted a Vatican official to clarify its position, saying the crimes were of a different nature and gravity.
The outcry boosted interest in the movement for female Catholic priests, with CWO receiving donations and dozens of membership inquiries.
One member, Pat Brown, said a press conference would be held during the papal visit at which the group would make its case for ordaining women.
"We love the church and don't want to be disruptive. We are trying to get support and would love to have five minutes with the pope. We are very concerned about what is going on in the church at the moment."
Buses have become the preferred vehicle for believers and nonbelievers to promote their cause to the wider public. The trend started in January 2009, when a group of atheists arranged for an "upbeat and positive" message to counter slogans of hellfire and damnation from some churches.
Organisers exceeded their modest £5,500 fundraising target, receiving more than £150,000, and their success encouraged atheist and humanist groups around the world to carry out similar campaigns.
The advert, the idea of writer Ariane Sherine, bore the words "There's probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life". It was one of the top 10 most complained about adverts of that year.
A parody advert soon followed from the Christian Party, which claimed: "There definitely is a God. So join the Christian Party and enjoy your life".
It drew 1,045 objections, making it the fourth most complained about advert since records at the Advertising Standards Authority began.

CWO needs to reread Ordinatio Sacerdotalis and realize that women cannot, will not, and never will be ordained to the priesthood.  That's the simple reality of it.

Outrageous: Dutch Church Dons Orange for World Cup "Mass"

This Dutch Catholic church has apparently forgotten what the Mass really is, not unlike far to many churches nowadays.

Would it help them to learn that orange is a traditional color of anti-Catholicism?  I don't know the answer to that, but I do know this; this is sacrilege, plain and simple.  There's no other way to describe it.

We must pray and make acts of reparation for this outrage.  Please say a prayer for the pastor and his parish.

    Newsweek Attacks Marriage

You have to read this one to believe it.

I sensed something like this would happen.  The Left has been fighting to change the definition of marriage for years with no success.  Now at least one of them has come out and decided "You know what?  Why should there even be marriage?"

Thanks a lot, for giving this morally bankrupt society yet another reason to slide further into moral destitution.

    Put Down Those Stupid Horns

I'm serious.  These things sound like a swarm of bees in the stadium.  You cannot tell me these add anything to the game besides burst eardrums.

On a side note, what's with the random Manchester United poster at 0:20 in a South African stadium?

    Mojave Desert Cross Stolen (LifeSiteNews)

LOS ANGELES, May 11, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Less than two weeks after the U.S. Supreme Court upheld a cross display in the Mojave Desert, the 75-year-old landmark has been stolen, reported the National Park Service Monday.
Mojave National Preserve officials discovered Monday that the 7-foot cross had been stolen, and the metal bolts anchoring the cross cut off, National Park Service spokeswoman Linda Slater said.

I hate to start speculating, but I don't think this is just a random theft.

The hardcore atheists and their allies in the left-wing civil liberties groups have been trying to get the Mojave cross torn down through legal means for a while now.  And now, all of a sudden, it disappears shortly after a higher court rules that it can stay up.  I'm not saying for certain, but it seems like a strange coincidence to me.

Lately, I've been getting e-mails telling me about a website, atheistactivist.org, which encourages atheists to desecrate and destroy the crosses left on roadsides to honor those killed in auto accidents, even going so far as to recommend a particular brand of tools for the .  Forgive my suspicions, but it wouldn't surprise me if someone took them very seriously and decided to do the same thing to the Mojave cross

According to the website, a "major announcement" is forthcoming.  Hmmm.

If I'm right, and I hope I'm not, I can't say I'm surprised.  I've been expecting this kind of brazen anti-Christian activity for a while now.

Let us pray for the misguided souls behind this.
