LSN: Robert Latimer, who killed his disabled daughter, says he’d do it again

[LINK]

VICTORIA, BC, Fri Feb 18, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Robert Latimer, who was convicted of second-degree murder for killing his disabled daughter Tracy, says he has no regrets about the murder and in retrospect would do it again.

In an interview with Radio-Canada, the CBC’s French language service, Latimer said, “I know I was right,” to kill 12-year-old Tracy, who suffered from cerebral palsy.

"I know I was right, I did it to stop the pain", that is the refrain of the culture of death, who believe the twisted notion that mercy and compassion can be expressed through killing.  Robert Latimer expresses the fruits of this twisted idea; a man puts his daughter in his truck and suffocates her to death with the exhaust and dares to call it an act of love.

And then he has the nerve to attack those who condemned his murder of his daughter as "sadistic butchers".  Mr. Latimer, you suffocated your daughter, and we're the butchers?  Cast forth the beam from thine own eye, my friend.

Latimer's actions are all the more reason why we need to build a culture of life.  Unless human life has value again, we will continue to see horrible acts such as the murder of little Tracy.  And you can be sure that this "arrogant, self-righteous, religious-backed" person will be praying for that, along with Robert Latimer's soul.

Treason: "One third of German-speaking theologians call for recognition of same-sex partnerships"

This comes to us courtesy of Life Site News.

ROME, February 11, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) – One hundred and forty-four German-speaking Catholic theologians around Europe have called for changes in the Catholic Church, including female and non-celibate priests, acceptance of homosexuality and contraception. While the “progressive” wing of anti-Catholic dissidents have been calling for these changes for at least four decades, this time they say that it is all part of an effort to protect children from clerical sex abuse.

The group, representing about a third of all German theology professors at universities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, issued their call for “reforms” last Friday, according to a report in the German daily “Süddeutsche Zeitung.”

The graying remnants of the 60s rebellion which attacked the Church in the aftermath of Vatican II are ratcheting up the attacks because of recent revelations of sex abuse by clerics.  But I'm confused; how is giving in to heresy by promoting contraception use, homosexuality, divorce and remarriage, and women (excuse me "wymyn") "priests" going to help anything?  The short answer is; it isn't.

And the graying liberals can't help but attack the thousands upon thousands of young people who are demanding a return to traditional practices, especially the Tridentine Mass and traditional music and devotions.  These people are allergic to anything that's traditional.  It's all about "change" and "progress" with this bunch.  They can't bear that idea that young people disagree with them and are heading the Holy Father's call to return to our Catholic identity.

I have a news flash for them; you're irrevelant.  Nobody cares what you think anymore.  Your idiotic rebellion against your own religion is sputtering out and will soon die, along with the sexual revolution which brought us the abortion culture.  What will be left is an authentic Catholicism that is holy and reverent, and what a happy day that will be.

I will continue to say prayers for the conversion of these rebels.  It is the only medicine that can help them.

Dhimmitude: Director of Intelligence says Muslim Brotherhood is "Mostly Secular"

This one comes courtesy of Robert Spencer over at Jihad Watch:

The Obama administration took the rare step Thursday of correcting its own intelligence chief after the official claimed Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood is "largely secular."
Director of National Intelligence James Clapper discussed the Islamist group during a hearing on Capitol Hill earlier Thursday. He testified that the organization has "pursued social ends" and a "betterment of the political order," and downplayed its religious underpinnings.

You have got to be kidding me.

They're called the Muslim Brotherhood.  How can that name be attached to any sort of secular organization?

The Islamist credentials of the MB are well established.  The group's stated goal is to make the Qu'ran and Sharia law the law of all states, calling it a "perfect way".  The group's first leader, Hassan al-Banna, was a dyed-in-the-wool Islamist who advocated the restoration of the Caliphate and world-wide jihad to impose Islamic rule on the world.  The Brotherhood maintains this, routinely calling for an Islamic state to be formed in Egypt.

The MB is a Islamist group and an enemy of freedom.  If we want real freedom in the Middle-East, we must oppose groups like this and call them out for what they are.

CNA: Indonesian mob attacks three priests, burns three churches

Another gift to the world from the "Religion of Peace".

.- An estimated 1,500 Indonesian Muslims destroyed three churches before attacking an orphanage and hospital in Central Java on Feb. 8. The mob was protesting a court's decision not to sentence a Christian man to death for defaming Islam.
Antonius Bawengan, 58, received a five-year prison sentence – the maximum penalty allowed by law – under the “blasphemy law” that has been invoked to silence critics of Islam. However, the crowd  assembled at his trial believed the sentence was too lenient, and demanded his death. They assaulted a group of police officers that reportedly numbered around 1,000 before moving against the churches.
The crowd first attacked the Catholic Church of Sts. Peter and Paul, in an assault that seriously wounded a missionary priest of the Holy Family congregation. The missionary, identified only as Fr. Saldanha, was beaten by the mob as he attempted to defend the tabernacle containing the Eucharist against desecration.

But we can't possibly suggest that the open-ended commands to commit violence against non-believers in the Qu'ran or the hate speech emanating daily from mosques all over the world have anything to do with this atrocity.  After all, they're just misunderstanding their own religion, right?

Bull.  Prayers will be offered for the victims of this terrible act of violence and for the conversion of those responsible.

LifeNews: Democrats Promise to Stop Tax-Funded Abortion Ban in Senate

Members of the House of Representatives are slated to hold hearings this week on two bills that would stop taxpayer funding of abortions. The legislation is expected to clear the House but Democrats promise to block it in the Senate.

The No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act, sponsored by pro-life Reps. Chris Smith and Dan Lipinski would compile all of the annual provisions that prevent federal funding of abortions into one piece of legislation. The Protect Life Act, sponsored by pro-life Rep. Joe Pitts, would apply the historic Hyde amendment language to the new health care bill President Barack Obama signed into law that allows massive abortion funding.

I still wonder why so many of my fellow Catholics support the Democrats, when news reports like this well document the Party's anti-life agenda.

Please call your representatives and Senators and urge them to support this effort to defund the abortion lobby.
